Oriental Realm: Showcasing the Power of Contemporary Chinese Design through Diverse Interpretations of Eastern Aesthetics.

The Oriental Realm brings together leading voices in contemporary Chinese design, each offering a unique perspective on the expression of Eastern aesthetics.

Artist Sara (designer of the ShengTang Peony series) integrates imperial embroidery techniques to reveal the cultural depth and richness of Eastern beauty. Her guiding philosophy is: “The old and the new, the East and the West, tradition and the future—timeless craftsmanship and aesthetics are transmitted through fabric.”

Guo Pei (eastcultivital Demi-Couture Collection), celebrated as China’s first haute couture designer, has long upheld the principle of “Eastern wisdom as essence, Western knowledge as application.” This collaborative demi-couture series distills the spirit of haute couture into refined simplicity. Through lightweight design, it brings Eastern aesthetics into daily wear, embodying an understated elegance imbued with depth and grace.

Emerging designer Song Yuting (Tingqian Guantang Collection) advocates “crafted by hand, resonating with the heart.” His work focuses on modern Chinese-inspired everyday wear and light formal attire, breaking the boundaries between traditional silhouettes and contemporary fashion. His relaxed yet refined design language offers a new interpretation of the philosophy of Eastern dress in the modern era.

Though their styles diverge, these three designers share a common commitment to craftsmanship and creativity, collectively advancing Eastern aesthetics on the global stage.
