Jewel grew up half-Jamaican in a small Midlands town. As an outsider, Kaye became an observer of human behavior and took to drawing. After a motorcycle accident, he moved to London to study art but quickly dropped out to pursue other creative avenues.

His work is instinctual, transforming juxtaposing themes to create collections with unique compositions. Jewel paints, creates 3D art, designs clothes, and works as a creative director and stylist.
