Ashlyn So
Ashlyn So is a 17-year-old fashion designer, activist, and creative visionary who is redefining what it means to be a young voice in the fashion world. Known for her signature demi-couture designs that blend avant-garde silhouettes with cultural and social commentary, Ashlyn uses fashion as a tool for storytelling, empowerment, and activism. At 12, she is the youngest Asian American designer to debut her collection during New York Fashion Week as reported by South China Morning Post and has since presented during Paris Fashion Week and a solo show at NYFW. Her work has been featured in Vogue, Teen Vogue, Seventeen, Los Angeles Times and on The Ellen Show to name a few, and she was the subject of an Emmy Award-winning ABC documentary.
Ashlyn first gained national recognition by ABC Newsline and E! People’s Award during the pandemic for her handmade masks and for organizing one of the first rallies in support of the Stop Asian Hate movement in the San Francisco Bay Area. Since then, she has continued to use her platform to raise awareness about social justice, mental health, and environmental issues. Ashlyn’s designs are deeply personal, blending her Asian American identity with her passion for change. Through each collection, she invites audiences into her world, a space where fashion is not just art, but also a call to action and a celebration of identity and resilience.
