Ximena Corcuera is a Mexican fashion designer and multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores the intersection of fashion, art, and social consciousness. Since founding her eponymous brand in 2019, she has developed a distinctive approach to Artwear, or “wearable art,” transforming garments into platforms for storytelling, reflection, and collective dialogue. Rooted in research, collaboration, and community engagement, her creative process brings together artistic expression, activism, and cultural exploration to address contemporary social issues.
Her work has been presented internationally at platforms including Thai Silk Fashion Week and Rakuten Fashion Week Tokyo 2024, and through collaborations with global organizations such as Disney LATAM and Swarovski. Her creations have been featured by more than 40 media outlets, including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and Grazia, and exhibited in galleries, cultural institutions, exhibitions, fairs, and international fashion platforms across Mexico, Brazil, Spain, Thailand, Japan, and France.
For Spring/Summer 2027, Corcuera presents SYNC, a collaborative collection created with Llorenz Sendra, a non-speaking autistic artist. The collection explores the human experience through fashion as a space for empathy, connection, and shared understanding. Inspired by intuition, emotion, movement, and forms of communication beyond language, SYNC reflects on the body as a sensory archive where feeling becomes knowledge.
Developed through a process of mutual learning and creative exchange, the collection embraces imperfection, play, and experimentation. Sculptural silhouettes, tactile materials, and multisensory fabrics transform garments into wearable sculptures and living canvases that translate gesture and emotion into form. A palette of deep, expressive tones and organic textures reinforces the dialogue between the human body, nature, and inner perception.
SYNC invites audiences to reconnect through sensation rather than explanation, proposing expresion as universal languages, one that begins where words are no longer enough.

Responding to a world of hyperstimulation and emotional disconnection, the collection returns to the body as a sensory archive where intuition, emotion, and play become forms of knowledge beyond words. Developed through a process of mutual learning with Llorenz, a non-speaking autistic artist with Level 3 autism support needs, the project reimagines neurodivergence as a source of innovation, creativity, and connection. Process, imperfection, and play become the foundation of creation, while garments evolve into wearable sculptures and inhabitable canvases that translate gesture, movement, and emotion into form. Through multisensory materials and sculptural experimentation, SYNC invites audiences to reconnect through feeling rather than explanation, reminding us that art begins where language is no longer enough.
