Leesle is designer Leesle Hwang's second ready-to-wear brand, following her success in the high-end personalized hanbok market in 2006. The traditional Korean dress, Hanbok, is at the heart of the 'Leesle' design, named after designer 'Leesle Hwang.' Leesle uses a neo-modern perspective to reimagine the unique structures, patterns, and subtleties of traditional garments with a 5000-year history. Leesle's distinct style, which combines designer Hwang's ingenuity with the traditional, is garnering a dedicated following and has given rise to a new genre known as "modern hanbok." Through partnerships with Samsung Mobile and KIA Motors, as well as talks with The New York Times and Bloomberg, Leesle Hwang is gaining notice as a young designer representing Korea.
