MILLI VANILLI HOMAGE

N/A

I'm Elena, known as Helen. Born in Spain, I grew up between Spain and London, where I studied Fashion & marketing Design at the Central Saint Martins University. After my time in England, and having worked for luxury brands such as YSL, Prada, and Louis Vuitton, I moved to NY, where I had the honor of working with Lynn Dell, a renowned octogenarian from the Big Apple, who guided me to begin my brand from 0.

Lenifro emerged in 2020 in Spain, after my time at a fashion talent show in Spain and 20 years in the fashion industry. From the need to create a brand focused on diversity and inclusivity, full of color and expression through its prints, volumes, and shapes, always with a retro touch and a message behind each piece. Using recycled polyester from plastic bottles as the main material.

With more than 40 points of sale between Spain and Portugal since then, apart from its B2C sales on the web with worldwide shipping.

Lenifro’s last showcasing which was at NEW YORK FASHION WEEK the past February had a big impact thanks to her colorful and non-ordinary creations, also being featured in fashion magazines & media such as Vogue Mexico & Latinoamérica, Vogue Italy, USA Today, Marie Claire Italy, Elle Italy, Harper's Baazar Spain, Italy & Korea and many more.

MILLI VANILLI HOMAGE

Inspired by the legendary 80s/90s group Milli Vanilli, renowned for being at the center of one of the biggest musical scandals of all time, this collection pays homage to their influential impact on both music and fashion. Designed by Lenifro in collaboration with Milli Vanilli's only living member, Fab Morvan, this collection is a true fusion of creativity and legacy.

Emphasizing volume, asymmetrical garments, and bold shoulder pads, the designs reinterpret the group's iconic style through the unique lens of Lenifro's aesthetic. This collection not only captures the spirit of the original designs but also weaves in a powerful message of resilience.

The garments are crafted using sustainable materials, including recycled polyester from plastic bottles, to create a genderless, thoroughly eighties/nineties atmosphere. Personalized prints add a distinctive touch to each piece, making this collection both nostalgic and innovative.
