Presentation of the "Grandeza" Collection by Jasive Fernández at Paris Fashion Week
On the most iconic stage of international fashion, Paris Fashion Week, I am honored to present "Grandeza," a collection that not only reflects my fifteen-year journey in haute couture but also encapsulates the essence of femininity and opulence, framed within the unmistakable signature of Classical Dramatic.
"Grandeza" was born from the need to return to modern women the power of their own femininity, a proposal that goes beyond fleeting trends and is rooted in the concept of fashion as timeless art. Inspired by the majesty of royal women, each piece in this collection is designed to evoke a sense of power and elegance, reminding us that true fashion is that which endures and reinvents itself over time.
The collection is distinguished by the use of classic fabrics such as silk, crepes, satins, and handcrafted lace. These textures not only contribute to a palpable sense of luxury but also stand as a testament to the commitment to sustainability. In "Grandeza," every detail has been meticulously crafted to ensure that each garment has a long and meaningful life, steering away from the fast fashion currents that often sacrifice quality for ephemeral novelty.
The long trains that adorn the skirts and dresses, along with the neck bows and handmade headpieces, evoke an era when royalty dictated style with timeless elegance. The colors selected for this collection —blue, pink, black, and white, with touches of gold and silver— are a homage to sophistication and luxury, while the jewelry crafted by the talented Isela Robles adds a touch of majestic opulence, perfectly complementing the spirit of "Grandeza."
After gracing runways in Vancouver, New York, Milan, and London, arriving in Paris with an internationally established career is the culmination of a dream that has always been guided by a passion for fashion and design. "Grandeza" is more than a collection; it is a statement of the strength and determination that have led me to establish myself as one of the most important Mexican designers on the global scene, proudly promoting the cultural richness of my country through contemporary design that celebrates both tradition and innovation.
Today, in Paris, I present "Grandeza" as a tribute to the women who inspire, those who are unafraid to stand out, and those who, through fashion, find their own voice. It is an honor to be part of this fashion week and to share with the world this vision of what it truly means to be grand.
